She hatches a plan to take revenge and shake up the industry
Ruth Landry, a maple syrup manufacturer, finds her livelihood under attack by greedy competitors who were once her friends. Inspired by the theft of $18 million worth of maple syrup from a Quebec warehouse in 2011-2012; five people were sentenced to prison terms. A collection of eccentric characters in dire situations trying to pull off a maple syrup heist to solve their financial problems.
He is the sole custodian of the entire supply of maple syrup
Ruth, whose husband is in a coma, has lost the right to sell maple syrup to the cartel run by Leonard. It seems that her husband has the right to harvest the syrup, so she is punished for illegally using her rights. Remy, a somewhat sad character, is the keeper of the warehouse where all the syrup is stored and he sneaks a barrel or two out of the warehouse at night, with a friend who suddenly dies.
The truth is quite different
Since Ruth was struggling financially, the only way to move forward was to steal on a much larger scale, so she and Remy called Mike. Mike seems like a powerful person who can do great things. And with all the personality clashes and confusion, it almost becomes a Keystone cops spoof.
So it’s a fun fictional story
Every time they seem to have a situation under control, obstacles arise, and their approach to dealing with them is a big part of the humor. One loophole is that this leads into a second season, so there are a lot of loose ends. And as has been very clearly stated, theft is not committed like that.
And a very interesting look
