When it ended, he returned to Britain unemployed and unsure of what to do next. He said, “I had no chance of a job, no flat, no car and no savings. ‘Everyone said you had to be crazy or crazy because the chances of it even getting published were one in hundreds or thousands.’ The film rights were snapped up within weeks of publication.

It’s an updated version of the classic story
The series follows an elite sniper (Eddie Redmayne) known as The Jackal. He is a highly trained assassin who is a master of disguise. He’s offered a lucrative job that could see him retire from the business, but the job is risky, especially when he crosses paths with a ruthless British intelligence officer named Bianca (Lashana Lynch).
The two go head-to-head, with plenty of casualties along the way
She follows him across Europe as he tries to carry out his mission. Their personal lives begin to collide with their work as they begin to realize that other forces are pulling the strings. Although some parts drag on for as long as 10 episodes, there’s plenty of action and drama to keep you entertained throughout the series.
